HUMANITY Exhibition in Zurich
Even before ‘pandemic’ became a household word, Simon Townsley travelled to the world’s most inaccessible places covering stories related to global health security. As Chief Photographer for The Telegraph’s Global Health Security team, Simon captures images that ‘bear witness’ and bring us up close and behind the scenes.
An extraordinary collection of images curated from story-gathering expeditions was shown in Zurich, Switzerland in partnership with Medair. The exhibition compelled us to think deeply about the headlines we read. There was bound to be an image that touched your heart and broadened your perspective.
Along with Simon’s personal stories, Medair’s CEO David Verboom shared highlights of their work in humanitarian emergencies. Invited guests included humanitarian partners and people who recognized the urgent need for providing help to people vulnerable to climate shocks, conflict, and natural disasters.
